Cotton, on the other hand, is a fiber, feed and food crop. Many use it to manufacture wide range of products including sheets, tents, tarpaulins, cooking oil, shortening, and salad dressing. Cotton is a versatile plant.

The requirement of water for hemp is far lesser than cotton. While cultivation of cotton may take about 20,000 liters of water in order to produce 1kg of cotton. People often irrigate cotton and that often leads to depletion of freshwater resources. Whereas when you grow hemp, it would require very less water and yield more result. For such reason, people often pay more attention and importance to hemp.
  • Hemp Doesn’t Wear out as Quickly as Cotton
Hemp fabric does not easily wear out instead, it tends to soften over time. You can weave the fiber of hemp into light materials for clothing, durable textiles that would serve commercial industrial purposes, and even into strong ropes and cables for heavy lifting and pulling. You can buy hemp fabrics in bulk from shops.
